The seas around Far East Russia were the sights of several significant voyages of exploration by Russian and English expeditions in the eighteenth century.
Three centuries later Don’s quest to see first-hand the Ring of Fire in this region, found himself visiting many of the same places and encountering the legacy and the monuments to these early explorers, with even a link to Albany.
