Lousie O'Neill - Farm Life Fitness
Farm Life Fitness founder Louise O’Neill is more than just a rural counsellor and health and wellness advocate – she’s also a farmer. Playing a key role in farm management with her husband and two young boys, Louise lives and breathes the agricultural lifestyle. And she understands the challenges to health and wellness that farming and living rurally can present.
Louise's driving passion is connecting with people in rural locations and vocations to help them create a healthier, more sustainable and productive future for themselves and their families.
Too many people in agriculture suffer due to the false belief that farming must be an all- consuming, 24/7 job. She unapologetically, yet respectfully, challenges conventions and tackles barriers harming our agricultural communities and preventing positive change. Having first-hand experience of farming life highs and lows means she speaks with empathy and real-life understanding and teaches with a practical, solution-focused approach.
Louise established the innovative 'FLF Community', a digital, live, online group fitness platform for people in rural locations and vocations, yet her role as a rural counsellor and her speaking remains her true passion. She has worked closely with corporates, farming communities, and individuals to create a healthier, more sustainable, and more productive life and work culture.
Kate Strong - Hope in my Boots
A passionate agriculturalist, teacher and line dancer, Kate uses this unique combination of skills to connect with people from all walks of life. She is one half of the Hoedowns for Country Towns duo and has made it her mission to connect those in rural areas through the building of communities. Having grown up on her family farm on the Darling Downs of Qld, and worked in agricultural consulting supporting farming families across Australia, she understands the hardships of rural life and the importance of a strong local hub.
Currently based in the Wheatbelt region of Western Australia, Kate strives to create a sense of belonging and community through the events and classes that she is a part of.
