Explore ocean depths

The former HMAS Perth guided missile destroyer was scuttled in 35m of water in King George Sound in November 2001.

Serving in the Royal Australian Navy, the HMAS Perth sailed more than a million nautical miles in deployments around the world. The vessel was damaged by enemy fire in the Vietnam conflict. Four sailors were wounded by the exploding shell, two were severely wounded and had to be airlifted to the aircraft carrier USS Oriskany and from there to a Naval hospital.

The 133m destroyer now provides divers with a wonderful opportunity to explore its underwater interiors.
