NAIDOC Week 2026 marks a significant milestone as we celebrate the theme '50 Years of Deadly'.
This year’s theme honours five decades of strength, culture, leadership and community, recognising the Elders, advocates, artists and communities who have carried NAIDOC forward and ensured Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander voices continue to be heard.
The City of Albany is proud to support and celebrate NAIDOC Week, fostering an inclusive environment where the richness of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, stories and achievements are recognised and celebrated.
As we reflect on the past 50 years, we also look toward the future with pride and optimism, acknowledging the next generation who will continue to lead, create change and keep culture strong for generations to come.
